Lowrance GPS File Instructions

(File Linked on main page)

Right click and Save File As. This file needs to be saved to your SD memory card. Easiest is to connect the card to your computer and save the file directly to it.

This file contains both the track logs ("Trail" in Lowrance terms) and the waypoints (our overnight destinations). Groups 2 & 3 will want to have this file updated in their GPS each night. Group 1 will not have the benefit of a full track to follow for the entire trip.

Install instructions, note the procedure is effectively the same across the various models:

On an iFinder H20:
Insert memory card, after copying file (from above) to card.
Turn on.
Press Menu
Choose Transfer My Data
Choose Load
File should be listed/selected already, if not, choose from menu, then press Load Data.

If in Advanced mode (GPS should already be in this mode):
Press menu twice.
Choose System Setup
Choose Transfer My Data
Choose Load
Choose Load data

The track should now show on the map screen. You may need to go into My Trails, highlight the trail and then check the box for "Visible" so the track is shown on the map screen.

My Trails is also the location you can choose previous tracks from and hide and/or delete to help eliminate confusion.
